Me VS Hurricane Irma

When I heard about Hurricane Irma coming, I was complacent and said it won't hit. That's because you have to go back to 1998 for the last major hurricane to hit Puerto Rico. Where I live, we been lucky for the most part to avoid major hurricane hits. So naturally I kept my regular writing schedule and was on track to finish my new Sci-Fi LitRPG and began work on my new horror LitRPG since my horror series has been doing well.

As the days went by I would carefully monitor the track of the storm and see where it was heading. At first I didn't take it too seriously since most models had it off going way to our north and we would get only a few rainbands and maybe a little wind. However, when Sunday came about in the morning, I noticed that the path was getting much closer to us and that's when I decided to start worrying. I decided to give this storm some respect. However, I kept thinking positive and said that this storm would not have too much of an impact. So I kept working on promoting my bestselling horror series with great success by the way and decided to start the third book of my horror series. I planned to spend the week on that, but the forecast for Irma became dire instead of better.

While the storm wasn't forecasted to make a "direct hit" but one has to understand that the effects expand far away from the center. Yesterday morning I got up and the forecast became even worse, a category 4 was approaching and the expansion of the winds became greater. I decided to not write and head to Wal Mart so I cac stock up on some needed goods. At that point it became obvious that there would be a delay in my work.

This morning I see the news and find out that Irma is a CAT 5 storm, the highest a hurricane can be with winds of 180 mph. I got up early to fix the house and make final preparations. I had to take a nap as I know tomorrow and Thursday I will get little to no sleep. This afternoon the news is buzzing that Irma is rivaling the biggest storm to ever exist in the Atlantic. Now I realize this storm means business and I need to worry more about my well-being rather than my writing projects coming up. Irma is now a Cat 5 storm with winds at 185 mph and I'm nervously awaiting the next update at 11pm to see if it will it will get stronger. Although at this point it's basically gonna be a nasty storm, period.

So what does that mean? This means this is the last blog post from me for a while until this storm passes and things get back to normal. I have no idea how long I will be away, but I plan to be away or out of the loop until at least next week. Of course what will do a number on my upcoming projects as well. So that means the projects might have a delayed release date, luckily I did not put an actual date so I feel less bad. So that means you won't see me on twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn excpet for a maybe a daily status on the weather and that's if I'm lucky to have signal.

After the storm passes and I'm still well, I shall have updated release dates for my two new books. Of course thanks to everyone who have supported me in my writing and left great reviews for my books, you guys are the true MVP's in all this. I have only two favors to ask of you. The first is to pray for me and wish me the best, I expect all my friends and fans to do this. The second favor is optional and if you done so, thanks in advance. The second favor is to check out my author catalog and purchase at least one of my books that are well priced and ones you will enjoy. I could use the money in case any damages are incurred that I have to fix and I might just donate a few things to people who might need my help. Of course you don't have to read my books, your prayers are good enough. Also support me on patreon by donating at least one or two dollars a month to help support the cause. I promise I'll be alright and thank you for reading!
