Boss: Thanatos - Great Dinosaur of the Light Element
Stephen faces Thanatos and is unsure what to do at first. Thanatos comes at him, but the huge steps of the dinosaur are enough to cause him to lose his balance. Falling on the floor, he sees the huge dinosaur ready to attack. Thanatos lifts up its foot and tries to crush Stephen with it.
Press “A” and “B” to roll… Good!
Rolling out of the way, he gets up and pulls out his bow trying to shoot the dinosaur. Thanatos uses its tail to grab Stephen and uses it to squeeze him. Matthew is able to get up and shoot Thanatos to catch its attention. After being shot, the dinosaur lets go of him.
Health: 82
He does lose some health after being squeezed and is forced to catch his breath. The skies begin to darken as the evil influence begins to become more evident and Thanatos begins to become more aggressive.
Thanatos goes after Matthew and slaps him back onto the floor. With the dinosaur’s back turned, Stephen uses his bow to shoot a couple of arrows at the head. The arrows land on the head, but the dinosaur remains standing. The dinosaur begins to run around in a full circle as it tries to confuse and get Stephen dazed.
Arrows: 23
With his sword and shield out, he keeps his eye on Thanatos’s movement to make sure he’s not surprised. All of a sudden, the legendary dinosaur stops and begins to rush towards him.
Press “A” and “B” to dodge… Not fast enough!
Unable to get away in time, he is tackled by the head of Thanatos. The impact is so hard that he flies about 20 feet forward and lands next to an oak tree.
Health: 65
He takes a good amount of damage as he lands hard on the floor. While having a tough time to get up, Thanatos heads towards him ready to eat him alive. With the blade of DinoRule in his right hand, he slashes the head of the dinosaur. The attacks prove rather effective and the dinosaur gets away from him screaming in pain.
He gets up and hears the old man give a hint, “Its body is made of the same substance as the light barrier, but its head is too dark to be given the same protection.”
In the old man’s unique way of speaking, he must be saying that the head is the weak spot of Thanatos. However, Stephen must find a way to get to the head as Thanatos is more than three times his size. With Thanatos still screaming in pain, he gets behind the great dinosaur and slashes the tail.
When he slashes the tail, Thanatos goes down on the floor. With the dinosaur on the floor, he begins to slash and hack it with the blade of DinoRule. The damage he deals is respectable, but not enough to kill Thanatos, as it gets up and tail whips him away from it.
“Looks like I’ll have to rinse and repeat with this fella.” He says getting up.
Thanatos runs towards him ready to tackle him again, but he’s able to roll out of the way. The dinosaur hits the tree, the impact so huge the 200+ year old tree goes down like nothing. He rushes to the tail in an attempt to take it down. The great dinosaur senses his presence and sends a wave of blinding light causing Stephen to go down on the ground.
With Stephen on the ground, Thanatos rushes towards him and slashes him as he’s unable to raise his shield.
Health: 51
Stephen notices his health is still ok, but he can ill-afford too long of a fight. Thanatos begins to lift its arms as it summons a wall of light to blind Stephen for good. The light is so bright that even a person with perfect vision will go blind in less than a minute. Using his intuition, he lifts up his shield and blocks the light from getting into his eyes. The shield has a few small cracks in between, so he’s able to see the dinosaur.
According to the little he can see, the dinosaur is distracted and he has a chance to get behind it. Running with his shield up, he gets behind Thanatos and slashes its tail again. Once he slashes the tail, the light shield that was raised goes down and he can lower his shield.
Once Thanatos goes down, he climbs on the dinosaur and finds himself on the head. Taking his sword, he thrusts the head of Thanatos. Despite that though, Thanatos is still alive and shakes its head knocking him off.
“I can sense Thanatos weakening, I’m sure a few more slashes on the head will finish him off. However, before Thanatos can be killed entirely, his eyes of light must be shot off.” The spirit of the old man can be heard saying.
Stephen can only wish he could see the old man, but he knows he’ll see him rather soon. Getting up, he can see Thanatos’s mouth filled with light and he anticipates a light blast attack. After a few seconds of charging, Thanatos shoots off a powerful hyper lightbeam. He rushes and dives as the lightbeam misses him barely.
After dodging the lightbeam, he sees the legendary dinosaur run in a circle once again. Keeping an eye on the dinosaur, he waits for it to come rushing at him. Once Thanatos stops, Stephen prepares to get out of the way. Thanatos comes rushing at him ready to tackle him.

Unlike last time, he is prepared and is able to get out of the way. When Thanatos misses him, he doesn’t have time to go for its tail as it turns around right away. The dinosaur prepares to shoot another lightbeam, this time Stephen slips on a rock and falls to the ground. The lightbeam hits him flush and deals a large amount of damage.
Health: 21
He is unable to get up after being hit by the powerful lightbeam. Thanatos walks towards him and prepares to finish off the “Hero of DinoRule”. However, out of nowhere, Matthew shoots a bolt at the dinosaur distracting it. Instead of finishing off Stephen, Thanatos goes after Matthew.
“Come on fella! Finish me off if you can!” Matthew says bracing for impact.
Thanatos rushes towards Matthew and takes a huge bite out of him. The dinosaur bites him and shakes its head as it gathers the blood from Matthew. Eventually, it throws Matthew down to the floor leaving him on top of a pool of blood.
Meanwhile, Stephen is still unable to get up from the floor. Then he has some kind of premonition where he is once again in the Chamber of Sages and he can see what seems to be the old man that has been talking to him wearing the same orange/red robe.
“Stephen, you must not give up. Thanatos is nothing but a test; you haven’t face real evil yet. I shall help you and give you a little boost.” The spirit says.
The old man raises his hand and does a prayer. A beam of light strikes Stephen who is in the crystal barrier and that light goes to his body.
“Now Stephen, you must return to the real world and finish off this fight. Good luck…”
After getting the small boost, he gets up and sees Thanatos still has its back turned. Grabbing the sword off the floor and tightening up his grip on it, he runs towards the dinosaur. When he gets to Thanatos, he takes a long hack at its tail. The impact is enough to cause it to scream in pain and it lands down on the floor. Running next to Matthew, he pulls out his bow and arrow.
Looking at the eyes of the dinosaur, he can see the light coming from the eyes. It’s a yellowish light, similar to what was found in the shrine of light and the healing pool. Then he remembers what the spirit said before.
“Before Thanatos can be killed for good, his eyes of light must be shot off.” He remembers what the old man had said before.
Using his bow, he shoots an arrow on each eye of the dinosaur. When the arrows make contact with the eyes, the light comes out of the eyes. The light is blinding and Stephen shields his eyes from the blinding light. After a minute passes, the light begins to dissipate and he lowers his shield. When he opens his eyes, he can see Thanatos down on the floor not moving.
Eventually, he sees the dinosaur decaying and its flesh along with it only leaving the skeleton of its former self. A heart can be seen popping out from it. Stephen is unsure what the heart will do. He gets next to it and picks it up.
Picked up a Heart. This heart increases your maximum health. Every heart increases your maximum health by 25. Your health will be restored back to full.
Health: 125
After grabbing the heart, he sees that his wounds are healed and he is back to normal health. Looking at Matthew though, he sees that he is injured badly nearly dying.
“Matthew! Please tell me you’re ok…” Stephen asks concerned.
“No mate… I’m afraid… you’ll be on your own… for this one…”
“Matthew you saved my life, if it wasn’t for you I would be dead now.”
“Stephen, you’re a brave fella… I mean that… from the bottom… of my heart…”
“No don’t give up…”
“Stephen… don’t worry about me… don’t feel sorry for me… you need to focus on yourself… save the world… You are the chosen one… Good...bye… ughhh…” Matthew says before he passes away.
“No, Matthew!” Stephen begins to tear up.
“Stephen, you need to forget Matthew. He did his part, you need to move on. I’m sure that Matthew would want you to move on.” The spirit of the old man says.
“I don’t know about that… Why Matthew?” Stephen cries while talking and continues saying, “As hard as it might be, I guess you’re right. What do I do now?” He asks while trying to hold in his tears.
“Make your way to the Light Temple. I promise all will be explained. It is just beyond where the light barrier used to be. You need not to worry about the light barrier as it doesn’t exist anymore. The evil force has used his power to destroy the barrier and threatens to use the dinosaurs for his evil purposes. Please hurry to the temple, I shall be waiting, and your quest will begin from there.” The old man says before he disappears.
Stephen walks towards the border and when he gets there, he spots the temple not too far. When he gets to the temple, he sees that it’s surrounded by a beautiful garden, a small pool, and a huge strange looking tree. When he gets to the door of the temple, he sees that it is huge in size and has the same symbol as the door to the shrine had. Pulling the handle, he opens the huge door and steps inside the temple.
He is marveled by what he sees inside the temple of light...
