First Blog Post of 2019

After a few days, I'm finally ready to welcome in 2019. I know it might be a few days late, but better late than never I guess. As you can see, I'm trying to keep one of my goals which is to update my blog more often. We'll see how that goes as the year progresses. I wasn't sure what to name the post, hence the pretty generic title. So I will be going over what I been up to and what my short-term plans are. Also, there are a couple of events that have taken place already this year and we're only into day 4 of 2019.

Now something terrible did happen to me and that was my cousin dying at the age of 50 on New Year's Day. For those who follow me on Facebook on a personal level, you might already know this. He lived two hours away from me and I would go there for the Christmas Holiday or for New Years. I saw my cousin like a brother, even though we only got to know each other really well a few years ago. Despite that, we got really close and cracked jokes. Not to mention he had 1994 Ford Mustang in mint condition with red leather seats.

To make the long story short, I went to his house for Christmas and had a great time with him. A week later, I get a phone call from a distant cousin in Florida that he had died. My heart was broken and it was possibly the worst way to start the new year. Lots of friends came by to my FB page and made me feel better.

The day after though, things did get better, much better.

As you can see above, I won the 2018 Best New Author award in the Reanimated Writers Group. It's a group of 1,500 plus people and it's only growing! It might have been a "popularity" contest, but I felt that I was an underdog considering that I was still a relatively new author in 2018, only in my 2nd year. I was shocked by the amount of love and votes that I recieved and realized that I was more known than I thought.

You see I've always been humble and considered myself to be an underdog throughout my life. I love carrying the underdog label and riding with it. This is considered one of the biggest achievements in my life, so it's great to know that people are reading my work and are loving it. As I love to remain humble, I will end the bragging here and move on to my goals.

Right now, I'm working on the second book of my serial series "The Fifth Survivor". As of right now, I'm on track to releasing one book a month. I'm not sure how many books "The Fifth Survivor" will span, but it seems that this "Side Quest" has exploded into its own spinoff series. Right now it should be 5-8 books, but I'm favoring the higher number right now and it could be more depending on performance and my mind.

I also intend to come out with the next major release for the "Angel's Nightmare Adventure" series which is called "Croatian Nightmares". The year also includes fixing and re-releasing Prehistoric Crisis and possibly working on book two of that series. It's clear though that my zombie horror is what's popular with my fans.

I'm pleased to announce that ARC reviews for "The Fifth Survivor: Episode One" are coming in and they are wonderful. One reviewer said that my series sounds like a winner and she's never read a GameLit book. In fact, she says she feels like it was her that was in the story. Her review is below.

I'm currently cleaning the book up further and working on Episode 2 at the same time. I know my goals are going to be tough but I'm convinced that I will achieve my goals this year as they are realistic. It also helps that I'm writing books that I enjoy. Yes, I will also make sure that my PTSD and my personal issues don't get in the way either.

So that will do it for the first blog post of 2019. I hope all of you have a great year and get your goals done.

By the way, The Fifth Survivor is on Preorder and if you get your copy before January 11th, 2019 you will have a chance to win a signed copy of "The Fifth Survivor: Episode One". Two winners will be announced on January the 11th. So if you got your copy stay tuned for that.

Also, the ultimate box set for the Angel's Nightmare Adventure series is only 99 cents! The offer is good from today Jan 4th, 2019 until Jan 11th, 2019 at midnight. So if you haven't gotten the box set, this is the best way to catch up on the main gamelit zombie series. Just be sure you don't read without a nightlight, lol.

As always please leave a review if you enjoyed any of my books!
