Prehistoric Crisis is out on Paperback!
This might be a tough week for me personally, but more on that on tomorrow's blog. Today's blog is all good news. On Monday, the first paperback copy of Prehistoric Crisis came to my house after waiting so long for it. The slowdown was caused by my 'perfectionism' and the want to make sure this was as professional as a product as it could be. I'm glad that I put in the extra time to make sure the final product was as good as it could be. The good news is that the book came out well and the cover is flawless! I decided to go with a glossy look to it as it would show off the colors better. Special thanks goes to my cover designer, José Manuel Bethencourt Suárez. He is indeed a great cover designer and you can tell he enjoys what he does.
Want to look at his art and/or need a new book cover designer?

That is the good news, the sort of bad news is that the book is no longer in my possession. Someone had preordered it and I sent it off so they can enjoy their early access copy. Oh well... it's great someone else will get to enjoy my story.
This is the book from a side view. The final book came out to be 461 pages long including the front and back matter. It's easily the biggest book I've written in my young career. I'm sure I'll have a 700 page epic soon enough, but that can wait. I want to thank a friend from the LitRPG community for helpling me enhance my back blurb on my paperback. I didn't even ask for help, she just messaged me on my page and helped me with a better blurb. For that, I'm very grateful. Many of you are probably asking, "Is the book out yet?"
The answer is offically no, could I push the date sooner? Sure I can. However, because I have a release party already set for October 12th which is the official release date, I decided to keep the date the same. So if you preordered the book on Kindle you will get it on October 12th, this is to account for final edits and proofreading.
However, if you're a beta reader who loved my book or simply too excited to wait for the 12th to get the kindle edition, you can order the paperback edition. Think of it as early access to my book. You can get the book on Amazon for $15.99.

Another option is to get a signed paperback from me. It is $20 but it covers shipping costs and it comes with a personalized letter as well of my thanks. Will make a great addition to your bookshelf as well. It doesn't matter if you decide to get a signed paperback or one from Amazon, I will be happy. I've already gotten great feedback and some people are saying Prehistoric Crisis is the best book I've written so far. That is a good thing as I strive to get better with every book I write. I'm excited to sign even more books!
I was also going over future titles for the series and here are the working titles for books 2, 3, and 4
- Prehistoric Crisis 2: The Uncharted Territories
- Prehistoric Crisis 3: The Mask of Evil
- Prehistoric Crisis 4: A Link to the Past
Of course these are all working titles, so they could change. However, I already have an outline for each book, so I highly doubt it. I hope to have Prehistoric Crisis 2 out for Christmas or just after New Years. Book three will probably be out in early spring of 2019. Book four will probably be the summer release in 2019.
Another question I recieved, will I go back to my zombie series? The answer will be yes, but perhaps that will wait until the last quarter of 2019. It's been a fun ride with Prehistoric Crisis so far and despite the fact all my books have been fun to write, Prehistoric Crisis might be the one that I have had the most fun writing. Think of it as The Legend of Zelda meets the dinosaurs.
As far as the age limit of the book in concerned, I would normally not comment on that. However, this is unlike the zombie books I've written with swear words. In fact, Prehistoric Crisis has no swear words to speak of. So there won't be any problem for a younger audience to read and enjoy. However, I can't say I safely recommend this book for grade school or middle school due to the amount of gore and dinosaur violence there is in the book. There will be scenes where raptors will tear apart humans and other dinosaurs. So if you're uncomfortable with your kiddo reading anything that violent, this might not be the book for them at least for now. It depends on how strict you are.
If you're excited for release day, why not join the release party October 12th on Facebook. Link is below! https://www.facebook.com/events/265717654268441/
If paperbacks are not your thing however, you can easily preorder the book on Kindle and enjoy your electronic copy when it comes out October 12th. It's only $2.99 which is discounted from it's actual price on release day of $3.99. Links to preorder in your country are below.
