My Next Project: Project DC

As I count down the days until I leave to Puerto Rico, I decided to squeeze some more writing because it's what I do, right? Remember I was deciding on two idea, well I made my decision. Project DC will be my next major book project based on the second expansion pack for The Thousand Years War Series. The tenative title will be, Duke it out in DC. More than likely that will be the final title, but at this stage of the game alot can change. I just find I'm in the mood to write the characters out in a setting close to the White House. Not to mention that Donald Trump is a hot button person to talk about, I find myself following up quite a bit on him, objectively at least. However, this story will take place in 2016, which Obama was still president, sorry Trump supporters, maybe next story.

Due to the fact that I had so much fun with Life's a Beach and with the FPS build I used to drive the story along with the game mechanics, Project DC will be another LitFPS/GameLit title. Lots of people especially my gaming buddies were excited about the features and the preview of my LitFPS I released that they said I should do a series. I took that advice to heart and now I'm happy to say I will continue to go that route. I have most of the story outlined already, so I'll be able to easily write the first 5-6 levels without much trouble. Afterwards, I'll have to think a little harder as I kind of forgot a few key parts.

This next book will be based on the DC expansion pack for Duke Nukem 3D, which is my inspiration for this next book. Of course gamers who played this particular game like I did can expect for me to insert my own twists into the story. You can expect most of the landmarks of Washington D.C. such as the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, the Capitol Building, the Smithsonian Museum, and even the sewers of D.C. The weapons will be closer to those that were in the very first book inculding the return of the kick-ass Devastator and the Shrinker/Expander weapon. The aliens will be closer to the first book and thinking about if I should create an exclusive creature for this particular title or just ride with the signature creatures that my readers have come to know. Too early on any specifics.

After saving his family name and defending his families honor, Angel decides it's time for another trip with Maria and the crew. Well actually he has been invited by the president to a special dinner hosting some of the best law enforcement from each of the 50 states of the United States. He can take three friends with him, so him along with the original three his wife Maria, Luis, and Dayvon travel to Washingtone D.C. looking to enjoy some of the landmarks that the District of Columbia has to offer. The trip is about to turn into another epic adventure as the gloobas have convinced a rouge scientist to activate the virtual reality machine in order to grant him all his wishes. As a result, the gloobas begin to launch their invasion of Washington D.C. and they kidnap the president. However, as the four will figure out, this is more than just another glooba invasion attempt. This adventure becomes personal and the United States could be put in serious danger due to personal grudge dating 30 years back. Jump into the virtual adventure as the four head to virtual D.C. to kick more alien butt in some of the most popular landmarks in Washington D.C. With the classic weapons such as the Devastator and shotgun in the heroes arsenal, this will be a rather patriotic adventure in more ways than one. Jump into the second expansion pack of the series as the four prepare to, Duke it out in DC or as Angel would say, "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum and I'm all out of gum!"
