Puerto Rico Se Leventa!

Don't worry if the title is in Spanish, the title translates to Puerto Rico Shall Rise. That has been the theme in Puerto Rico for the last month and a half after Hurricane Maria hit the island and me. I been in New York for the past two months trying to get away from the lack of water, light, and food. I even managed to write and published my new GameLit book and I'm darn proud of it.

If there is one thing us Puerto Ricans are good at, it's being strong no matter what might be thrown at us. I am one of them and I been as strong as I can be, making the best of my situation. Many Puerto Ricans decided to stay on the island, rebuild on their own, and live out the aftermath of the storm. Sometimes a moment of guilt comes into my head watching these people try to survive and make the best of what has happened, while I "ran" to the states for some relief. To be fair I do have family out here that took me in when I and my parents came out here. At one point I was thinking of staying on the island and living out the storm just like all the brave Puerto Ricans that could not get out of the island. There's a part of me that says I should have been braver and ride out the aftermath with my community knowing I could have been a help towards them.

In otherwords, I believe by saying #PuertoRicoSeLeventa there is a little guilt in my system. That's because I know in my heart I wasn't 100% strong as I ran to New York to get away from the madness instead of staying strong out there. I know I would have never released my new book "Life's a Beach" and made many fans upset, but I would be able to truly say I was a survivor who lived through the Hurricane's aftermath.

As the photo above says, Puerto Rico is coming back stronger and I can promise I will come back stronger myself. I'm happy and proud to announce that I will return to my home island where I belong tomorrow night as of this writing. Contary to what is being announced in the media, more than 55 people died, much more! There are legit reports that say over 1,000 people lost their lives in the Hurricane, which I hate to say sounds alot more realistic.

I know I'm in for a long road ahead when I get back and after the hugs with my friends out there, much work will have to get done. The cleanup begins and I will begin to pick up the pieces of my lost life out there. Will it be hard? Yes, after all, life's not fair or easy for that mattr. However, I shall win over as I have always done. Nobody said this Puerto Rican could be a bestselling author, I proved them wrong and I'm proud to say I continue to prove the haters wrong!

Although the challenges will be tough out there, but that is where I belong and I finally get to go back to my house where I can rest easy. I love the island, the food, and the people. This is an island that deserves a second chance and I can assure you it will be another shot! I can also assure you that I'm might be down, but I'm quickly getting up and as for you Hurricane Maria, I beat you already, you failed to take me out!

So if you find that I'm not on social media as much, be assured that I'm not dead or have given up. I will simply be busy fixing my house up back to its former glory along with my life. I say this because Puerto Rico will rise and this Puerto Rican author will hit the top one day. This man will make Puerto Rico proud, that is not a threat, but a promise! May you all have a great day!

I can use some help from you my fans and friends. Please check out my entire catalog of mostly GameLit books and one exciting Political Thriller read. Every sale counts and every little bit of help counts as well. Thank you in advance.
