Hindsight 2061 Book Review

1. Characters ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ William Walker is an expert in brain behavior. Tonya Kalcynski is a freelance copy editor. Donald Trump meets William in 2015. Lydia Garcia is a Secret Service Agent. Dr. Sam is a long time friend of William. 2. Plot ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This story is an unbelievable (or believable) political thriller. William Walker specializes in brain behavior as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and aggressive replacement therapy (ART) to name a few. He was recruited by the FBI, then left to start his own company, "Prodigy Vision". He provides behavioral profiling and other services. William meets Tonya - they meet on a jog run, at a local coffee shop. He pegs her as a submissive woman - she will be easily controlled. They fall in love quickly and soon they are talking about marriage. Tonya reluctantly tells William she's a high-risk for not having children. William consoles her but he's happy on the inside. William meets Trump in 2015. He hires William; he will advise Trump on social manipulation. And of course, Trump announces his bid for President. He works on his diversion plan and he hand picks Secret Service Agent Lydia Garcia for escort duty. Doctor Sam is a long time friend of William. He shows Trump's Master Team a poster of "Eugenics" - the removal of genetic defects and supporting selective breeding of "high grade" individuals. William resigns from Trump's team and forms his own group of academic individuals. Dr. Sam is part of his group. They delve into all types of psychology and behavior. Then William Walker does the unthinkable... 3. Writing Structure ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ David has written a well thought-out and creative story. The 3 Pillars of the New Vision is secretively cunning. It sounds good but there's a sinister element to it. His attention to detail puts the reader right there in the scene. 4. Ending ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What can I say about the ending? It is an exciting, thrilling and suspenseful ending! I was blown away at the end; I didn't see it coming!! I'll not give anything away - you'll have to read it for yourself! 5. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is David Callan's debut short story. I was captivated by the story and the possibilities of what could happen. It's a story of power, manipulation and the selection of who lives and who doesn't. BRAVO David!!
